NORTH BY NORTHEAST 2011 @ DUNDAS SQUARE

What a way to kick off the summer. Yesterday I went downtown to Dundas Square to catch the North by Northeast festival. Held every year it is hosted in several spots across Toronto and features up and coming music, film, as well as panels. The square was buzzing with energy and filled with people. I competed in a chewing gum contest (which I lost.. I blame it on my braces), watched a retro Elvis impersonation and ballooners make all sorts of things out of balloons. This was the tail end of the festival which began June 13. However, I am glad that I was able to catch it this year.

  1. Sounds like fun!

I've never figured out how to make anything out of balloons. Haha.

  2. I didn't realize that we read in the same neck of the woods (I guess had I read your 'about' page I would have picked that up sooner though). I'm a little ways north of Toronto! Nice to meet another Ontario book blogger!

  3. Very cool! Great way to kick off the summer for sure. I live about 2 hours east of Toronto, it's so exciting to meet another Canadian book blogger - we seem few and far between! lol
